Acts 17:24-26 "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth... giveth to all life, and breath, and all things... and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;"

Verse 26 literally reads, "And He hath appointed seasons by His command and has set limits to the age of men."

Biblically, "seasons" indicate periods of time, not just spring, summer, fall, and winter. With man's perception of time in mind, God set the stars and planets in motion.

Genesis 1:14,16,17 "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,"

God, in His infinite knowledge, has designed man's dwelling place with detailed purpose, coordinating all factors, including gravity and planetary motion, so that man can enjoy life on earth.

Isaiah 45:18 "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain..."
