When the Islamic Prophet Muhammad brought the Quran between 610-632 AD first he recited it to his followers. The followers of Muhammad in turn recorded it on parchments, scapula, leaf-stalks of date palms etc. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 201). These materials on which the Quran originally had been written when it was first recited by Muhammad do not exist now.
He was a learned man, and probably had copies of many books. I read that a Koran that reportedly belonged to Jefferson has been found.
Yes original copy is an oxymoron

A notarized copy of a document is a copy of the original document that has been certified by a notary public as a true and accurate reproduction of the original. A certified copy, on the other hand, is a copy of the original document that has been certified as a true copy by an official or legal authority such as a government agency or court clerk. Both types of copies can be used for official purposes to verify the authenticity of the original document.
Cut will take the original away, and Paste onto the destination. Copy take a copy of the original, and paste onto the destination. The difference is the original object (the text, the file, the folder, etc) remain in tack (no alternation) for Copy, the original be moved (the Cut)

A:Many Muslims believe that the Koran (Qur'an) was given to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. On this view it can not be a copy of the Bible. However, others see much of the content in the Koran as being closely based on the Bible, although not in the same narrative form. Especially when there is historical doubt about some of the passages, this can only be explained by the Koran having been copied from the Bible.
