It would be nice if the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses were contacted so that they know that an aged member is in a home. This would allow some friendly visits to keep the aged one upbuilt and encouraged. Also, sometimes it is nice for them to have a landline telephone with a speaker so that they could "tie in" to public talks at the Kingdom Hall if they are not mobile enough to be able to attend the meetings.
There is no specific ritual involved in being buried as a Jehovah's Witness. It is possible to request a funeral discourse that deals with the Bible's teachings on death and resurection, as understood by Jehovah's Witnesses.
