On what day did God create humankind?

According to the Genesis story God created Man and Woman on the Sixth day; and rested on the seventh day. According to Jewish tradition the seventh day (Sabbath) is Saturday, which means humans were created on Friday.

1st man "adam" was created through a command GOD gave to the earth, both male and female, came forth from the ground. FYI (adam is the Hebrew word for man, mankind, human beings, etc. The word "man" was a bad English translation in this verse. A better translation would have been mankind. or humans.)

2nd man was "haadam" and was formed by the hands of GOD and not by a command given to the earth. FYI (haadam is the Hebrew word for "the man", and I believe this "special" man has a special purpose. Because through him, whom we call Adam, the Messiah would be born thousands of years later.

Surprisingly, the Bible gives us a choice, as there are two quite distinct creation stories in the Book of Genesis. In the first biblical creation account (Genesis 1:1-2:4a), God created humans - both male and female - on the sixth day, after having created the beasts of the fields and everything that creeps upon the earth.

The second creation account (Genesis 2:4b-25) does not really give us a timeline, so we have to look at what is there. Adam was the very first act of creation, so he must have been created on day 1. After God made man he realised that man would need company (Genesis 2:18-19): "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air . . ." It seems to have taken God quite some time to realise that what Adam really needed for company was a woman. Depending on just how many species God is assumed to have created (after all, there are thousands of species that could be potential help meets for Adam), this could have been an extraordinarily long time. Only then did God create Eve.

This need not concern believers, since his claims have been debunked one by one, as Archaeology and other disciplines have demonstrated the integrity of the Torah.
