This can be a tough question to answer because it is subjective.

In Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it Holy because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. (NIV)

In Exodus 16:22,23 On the sixth day they gathered twice as much (Manna), two 'omers' for each person and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses. He said to them "This is what the Lord commanded tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and kept it until morning." (NIV).

Please note that both of these events happened before the 10 commandments were handed down to Moses on Mt Sinai. Observer the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. Being the 4th commandment.

Jesus came and fulfilled the Law of Moses. He didn't do away with it. This is the subjective bit. If you want to keep the Sabbath do so because you wish to honor the Lord with your heart. Don't keep the Sabbath to fulfill the Law or for Religious reasons.

God doesn't want robotic commandment keeping he wants love from your actions.

1 John 5:3 (NIV) This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

We started to keep the Sabbath day from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday just over 3 and half years ago. Why, this is what the Jews do. If anybody is going to know which is the correct day it would be those guys.

It was a lifestyle change to do this. It came at a financial cost. Having said that though the Spiritual blessings and understanding, plus the physical and mental rest that has resulted because of this choice has been nothing short of awesome. We would recommend this lifestlye choice to anyone who wishes to deepen a personal Spiritual relationship with God.

We hope this helps.
