A:In the original Greek language, Matthew, Mark and Luke have quite a few passages in common. This occurs because, as we now know, the authors of Matthew and Luke actually copied much of their material from Mark. For example, Matthew contains some 600 of the 666 verses in Mark, often in exactly the same words in the Greek language. Of course, differences in translation to Latin and then English obscure this, and it could depend on which version of The Bible you use, which passages seem common.
