There are many ways to try to reconcile inconsistencies in the story of Adam and Eve, but a difference in ages of 400 years probably does not achieve much. It certainly does not resolve the problem of Adam being earlier than all other living creatures, when we know that not to be the case.

He lived another 800 years after the birth of Seth and died at the age of 930 years. If taken literally, Adam was certainly much less than 130 years older than Eve.
