There are several possible explanations which both lead to the same result. The obvious conclusion is that Eve knew of God's instruction not to eat of the tree. She repeated almost word for word (see Genesis 3:2-3) the instruction which God had given in the previous chapter. (2:16-17). So Eve certainly knew it, the question is how.
One possible explanation is to realize that the account of the creation of man in Genesis 2:4 onwards is not necessarily chronological. Eve may have been present when the instruction was given to Adam.
The other way would be to understand that Adam told Eve what God had said. Anyway, God was in charge of the events and He would not let Eve remain unaware of the instruction critical to His plan.
He told them do not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil
God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden.
God told Adam and eve that they could eat from any of the fruits in the garden, except for the tree of knowledge. eve took a walk by her self, and walk by it. the devil who was in the form of a snake, tempted eve to eat from the tree of knowledge, then she gave some to Adam. God found out, and told them that the had to leave the garden, and work. He still loved them, but he had his reasons to kick Adam and eve out.
God told Adam and Eve that they could eat from every tree but one tree which was the tree of good and evil. Then the serpent told them that he only told them that because the fruit would make them "just like him".So that made Eve eat the apple and she made Adam eat it to.
They ate the forbidden fruit... Being an apple... Which God told them not to eat.
The tree of knowledge of good and evil was very sacred. The LORD God told them whoever ate the fruit would be banned from the garden of Eden, receive knowledge of good and evil and would die. Satan told Eve that she would receive knowledge but would not die. Eve chose to eat the fruit along with Adam. They both got removed out of the Garden of Eden after eating the fruit.Adam lived a long life and died eventually of old age.
Go forth and multiply (Genesis ch.1). Live! Answer: God also said Do not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the Garden (Genesis ch.2).
because God told them not to.
God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the devil's tree so Eve dared Adam to eat from it so that is why.
In the Bible, in Genesis chapter 2, verses 16 and 17 - The Lord God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Notice God only told Adam so Adam must have told Eve also of the commandment. This was the one limitation God had on them but with the free will God had given them, they rebelled against Him and sin entered into the world.
it is because adam and eve sinned when god told them not to eat a specific tree from the garden.
Sin is the process by which Adam and Eve fell by eating of the forbidden fruit. Sin is defined as the violation of God's laws. God gave Adam and Eve freedom of choice in the Garden of Eden except in one regard. Adam and Eve were told to avoid the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They disobeyed God, they broke a divine law, they committed the world's first sin, and they were punished.
