Was Pangea before Noah's Ark

Pangaea, or Pangea, was the supercontinent that existed around 250 million years ago, clearly very long before the time attributed to Noah's Flood. It is now known that continental drift has both separated the continents and driven them together.

Some Christians say that the scientific dating is wrong, and that Pangea existed up until the time of the biblical Flood, the force of which destroyed the old landforms and created new ones. However, this faith-based hypothesis does not explain:

• Modern continents still have the outlines where they once fitted together.
• Fossil evidence of similar, now-extinct species that once thrived in close proximity, on continents that are now widely separated.
• The Himalayas and the Tibetan plateau can be shown to have been driven up as the Indian landmass rammed into the Asian landmass.
• The structures of deep-ocean trenches that continue to form symetrically at the junctures of the continental plates.

There is no doubt that Pangea is many millions of years old. There is no evidence for a great, world-wide flood, but The Bible places in in very recent, historical times.
