Actually, most of the 95 Theses were remarkably already Catholic dogma, so the most upsetting thing about them to his Bishop and the Pope would have been his remarkable ignorance in wanting to discuss changing something that was already Catholic dogma. There are, however, several that are more than a little troubling, for instance, number 16. "There seems to be the same difference between hell, purgatory, and heaven as between despair, uncertainty, and assurance." This is a remarkable statement for any Catholic priest to make. The only people who are in purgatory are those assured of heaven, they are just being cleansed of the residual sin on their soul so that they may be made perfect to enter heaven. To compare that to "uncertainty" shows a remarkable lack of knowledge in one who should have known better. There are others along the same line, but I think that one should answer your question.

Who nailed his ninety-five theses or proposals to the door of a German church?

The Theses were nailed to the door of the cathedral by Martin Luther. It was common practice in that time to spark discussions about topics or to publicly communicate by posting a notice on the door. Luther had no idea what a huge outcry would result from his Theses posting. Martin Luther never intended to leave the church; he just wanted a few things changed, such as selling indulgences. So when everyone got upset, Luther was quite surprised and appalled. The Bishop in his town demanded Martin Luther come and defend himself to the Bishop, and Martin went and defended his ideas.

What church practices did Martin Luther become outraged by?

Attached below is a English copy of Martin Luther's 95 Theses which contain the Church practices that he was questioning, I think "outraged" might be a bit over the top. Most the practices he was questioning were connected with indulgences, pardons, and confession, however, a quick look through his 95 Theses even by a first year seminarian would quickly reveal that Martin Luther really didn't know what he was talking about, many of the things that he asked for were already Church teaching. I believe that the practice that Martin Luther was most upset about was the fact that the Church asked him to lead a moral life as Luther spent the rest of his life trying to justify why he didn't have to repent and reform his life.

What was the main reason of the 95 Theses?

Luther posted the 95 theses, because he was upset about the indulgences that Johann Tetzel had been selling and the papal keys sold by the pope, because both were using the income for themselves not the church out of greed.

What action by Johann Tetzel upset Martin Luther and led to the 95 Thesis?

His selling of indulgences which promised that they would get you out of hell "for a few easy payments of 19.99". Tetzel was then pocketing this money and getting rich while people thought they could do what ever they wanted if they were rich because they could jut keep paying for more indulgences. Martin Luther didn't even want there to be a pope but instead thought that people should interpret the bible for them self's.

This monk's name was Martin Luther. Luther's parents wanted him to become a lawyer, and were sending him to law school. Deep within his heart however, Martin Luther wanted to serve God.On a fateful afternoon, while caught out in a storm, Martin Luther was nearly struck by lightning. He felt that this was a sign that he should give up law school, and become a monk.Shortly there after, Martin Luther joined a monastery in Germany, and began to dedicate his life to learning and teaching the Gospel. The more he studied, the more he felt that the Catholic Church had gone astray. He collected a list of 95 different points of doctrine where he felt that the Church was incorrect. On October 31 st, 1517 Martin wrote these 95 points of doctrine on a placard, which he nailed to the door of the Catholic Church in Wittenberg, Germany. These 95 points of doctrine were copied and sent throughout Germany, resulting in the Catholic Church loosing out on the collection of money that they collected in exchange for indulgences. The sale of indulgences was one of the 95 practices that Martin Luther disagreed with. This practice allowed people to buy forgiveness for their sins.As the money from the sale of indulgences greatly declined, Pope Leo X grew upset, and sent convoys to Martin Luther in an attempt to get him to recant his disagreement. Martin Luther refused to do so stating that he had an obligation to God to do what he felt was right.By A.D. 1520 the Catholic Church had had enough. They declared Martin Luther a heretic.
