Hello, for me, in my opinion there is only on good example and that is "trust". If you believe you have faith and if you have faith that means you trust. For example; you at a bus stop you believe that a bus will take you where you want to go, you have faith that nothing will happen that's why you get on. You trusted your dissicion to take a bus. The comparison is simple but I hope it answered you question. Bye Bye. SELAH!

How did people react to prophet habbukkuk's message?

What is faith? Why does God allow people to suffer? Why does God not punish the wicked immediately? About 605 B.C. God called a sensitive man to show His people God's purposes as the wicked Babylonians gained control of the world and made demands on Judah. Habakkuk used dialog with God and a hymn from the temple to show what faith is, why God would use such a wicked people as Babylon, and why God would let his people suffer. Habakkuk shows: a prophet can be perplexed at God's rule of history. God wants persistent commitment to and trust in him; and a psalm of confidence expresses faith in tumultuous times. Habakkuk is a call to faith for people who see no hope.

How was the people of god able to hang on to their faith throughout the times before Jesus birth during the old testament bc?

This is the short answer. Essentially by the power of God. We know that believing God by faith has always been the way to salvation. The book of Hebrews has a "faith" chapter, (Hebrews 11). These people believed God and their believing came to them by different means of what God had done or said to them. Romans 10:17, "So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." People read or heard passages in the Old Testament which brought them to faith in God. Once God has given a person faith to believe in Him it is a permanent thing. They are held in God's hand forever. His power keeps us "hanging on".
