What are difference between Jesus and John the Baptist?

John the Baptist was the "voice in the wilderness" that spoke of the coming messiah. John asked people to repent and baptized people in the Jordan river. When Jesus came to him, John told his followers to follow him instead. John said "he must increase and I must decrease".

John was an apostle of Jesus who traditionally wrote the Book of John (Fourth Gospel). John was the brother of James, known as the sons of Zebedee and also Sons of Thunder because they had tempers. John writes of John the Baptist in the Gospel starting with John 1:6.

john said:"I baptize with water," .. Christ: 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.'

The Bible never mentioned about Jesus that he baptize with water.. only his disciples do baptism... then what baptism did Jesus told them to do?

John the baptist baptise with water but Jesus baptise with the holy spirit,that is why John the baptist said i baptise u with water but there is some one more greater than me coming and he will baptise u with the holy spirit.

When John baptized people he used water, but with Jesus the holy spirit came on him in the form of a dove.
