The spiritual self is determined by how a person views their life and spirituality. Some examples would be personal views on prayer, afterlife, roles and responsibilities in current life, and reason for existence.
Secular activity refers to non-religious or non-spiritual activities that are not associated with any specific religious belief or tradition. These activities are typically focused on the worldly or material aspects of life and are separate from religious practices or rituals. Examples of secular activities include academic pursuits, sports, entertainment, and political engagement.
"Worldly" activities are those which concern day-to-day life : work, school, exercise, hygiene, and impersonal contacts with other individuals. The moral or spiritual activities include imagination, family and personal relationships, plans and dreams, and of course religious activities.

There are a number of different spiritual activities that one can find in the Spiritual Life group at the University of Chicago. There is a chapel for reflection and a interreligious center for sharing perspectives of spirituality. The majority of these activities are about turning one's mind inward to ask questions about one's life and reflect on the world mindfully to find contentment and a clear purpose.
