The Puritans were associated with the religious group called Friends in Pennsylvania. Friends were also associated with the Fraternity of German Baptists. Today, the Friends continues in many church denominations. And in the early 1900s, the Fraternity of German Baptists renamed themselves Church of the Brethren.
