Muslims are expected to abide by five main duties. They are to believe in no other God except Allah, pray no less than 5 times per day, pay zakah to help the needy, fast during Ramadan, and make the pilgrimage to Mecca during Hajj. The five duties of Muslims are usually called the five Islam pillars. Refer to related questions below for the details of these five pillars.

yes, The five Islam pillars are the basic Islam requirements to be followed by Muslims. Denying, intentionally, any one of them expels the one from the Muslim community. So, all Muslims are unified in the sense of the follow up of these five pillars. refer to question below for more information.

First of all, Muslims have some duties to do toward God, worshiping Him everyday is what Muslims do, Muslims pray 5 times a day, 1 prayer at the dawn time and one prayer at noonday, and another one is called Asr prayer which comes after noonday prayer in few hours, and one prayer when the sun goes down ( sunset ) and the final one is after the sunset prayer in few hours. P.S: Muslims pray to their God, worshiping only Him, they don\'t worship the sun or moon or anything else, only God, and please know that prayers usually don\'t take more than 5 minutes each, which Muslims believe it\'s a very short time to worship God so Muslims do other prayers that Muhammad used to pray, so they can get closer to God, but any other prayer else the 5 prayers in the beginning is considered optional :)
All Muslims, from all recognized sects, share the same core beliefs. They all believe in the authenticity of the Qur'an revealed from God to Muhammad (S) through the Angel Jibril. They all believe in the message that Prophet Muhammad (S) conveyed, of the worship of one true God, Allah. They all believe in the basic 5 pillars of Islam and do the 6 pillars of Iman. Any sect who claims to be a "Muslim" sect, but doesn't follow these values is not truly a Muslim sect. This is what unites all Muslims, whether they be Arab, Pakistani, Black, Indonesian, Indian, Sunni, Shi'a, Ibadi, or Sufi (I cannot say the same for the Ahmadis, though).
