I'm sure someone could find more, but the first one that comes to mind is Jesus' disciple Matthew, who was a tax collector before Jesus called him. According to what we know about tax collectors in those days, most of them took much more than what the Roman government required so that they could make some money. As a result of their selfishness, they were despised. Matthew, obviously, let that selfishness go and turned wholeheartedly to Jesus. (if anyone can add or correct anything, that would be great)
