The exact time of the creation angels is vague. Genesis 1 - 5 tells us that God created "light" on the first day of creation, and separated the spheres of night and day. Genesis 16- 19 tells us God created the sun and the moon and the stars in the heavens on the fourth day so one has to wonder what the light created on the first day was. Many Biblical scholars have put forward the theory that the "light" of the first day was possibly a reference to the creation of angles. The book of Job 38:7 speaks of the "morning stars that sang together with all the Heavenly powers uttering their praise of God". The phrase "morning stars" is thought to be a reference to angels. Generally speaking, The Bible tells us that angels are certainly not human and have no physical bodies. They were created to adore and serve God including being his messengers. Angels were certainly created before God made man on the sixth day. ( Genesis 1 26 - 31). Lucifer was also an angel who eventually became disgruntled about serving God; he wanted to be God's equal and the book of Revelations 12: 7 -10, speaks of the war in Heaven when The Archangel Michael led his forces of "good angels" against Lucifer and his "evil angels". They fought and Michael threw Lucifer and his band of "evil angels" out of Heaven, down to earth. They crawled underneath the earth and became ugly due to their ugly deeds. John Milton's "Paradise Lost" has Lucifer in hell saying ,"Better to rule in hell than serve in heaven".

For further information "the winged creatures", birds, where created on the fifth day and have no connection to the creation of angels or demons.
