Jesus of course is the one central character above all others and probably, since He is so far above all the rest and all the rest serve Him, He is in a league of His own.

Mere humans on the list would include Paul, Peter and John as the three key figures in the early church, followed by Matthew, Mark and Luke the Gospel writers (Matthew also being an apostle), James the brother of Jesus, Phillip the evangelist and Stephen the martyr.

If you are talking historically down through the centuries, the list would be much larger.
