"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." This verse, Romans 3;23, means that none of us measures up to God's standard of perfection.

"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."(Matthew 5:5) People who are meek are usually shoved aside by those who are powerful, but Jesus was teaching that meekness is a higher value than worldly power.
