rights to man which allowed more freedom and to be more open in a monarch society.

There are no 'natural rights', not for men, or women, or anybody or any thing.

For every so-called 'right' that we have, in a civilized society, there is an attendant responsibility upon the rest of that society. For instance, your right to life is attendant on the responsibility of the rest of us not to kill you.

Try transposing that in to nature and the first obstacle you come up against is negotiating responsibilities, to go with your rights, with the rest of human and animal kind.
