Pentecost was the Jewish Feast of Weeks which fell on the fiftieth day after Passover. It was the day on which the Holy Spirit descended on the infant Catholic Church, on the Blessed Virgin and the Apostles and the Apostles started to preach and convert the Jews to Christianity. It is still celebrated on the fiftieth day after Easter, on Sunday, and it closes the Easter Season.
