Humanists believed that by studying the classics, they would gain insights into human nature, ethics, and the complexities of life. They valued the literature, philosophy, and art of ancient Greece and Rome as a means to cultivate moral virtue and critical thinking. This exploration of classical texts was seen as a way to promote individual potential and foster a more enlightened society. Ultimately, Humanists sought to apply these lessons to contemporary life, enhancing both personal and civic responsibility.
Humanists believed that studying the classics—the works of ancient Greek and Roman literature, philosophy, and history—would provide profound insights into human nature, ethics, and the principles of effective governance. They viewed these texts as a means to cultivate moral virtue, critical thinking, and civic responsibility, ultimately leading to a more enlightened and capable society. Additionally, humanists sought to revive the cultural achievements of antiquity to inspire contemporary thought and creativity.
Not exactly. Since most humanists believe in ethics and in studying the wisdom of the greatest philosophers and scholars, rather than in a Bible or in a supernatural God, it would not be accurate to say they "worship." However, humanists often get together for programs, presentations, and conferences, as well as to work together on issues that they believe will better the society. Humanists also participate in organizations, such as the American Humanist Association or the Society for Secular Humanism. And while they may not go to a church or a temple (although some Unitarians are also Humanists, and some Jews are too), they do keep in touch with like-minded members (they even have their own magazines); and they also have their own unique ceremonies to reinforce the cohesion of their group. I enclose a link to the American Humanist Association, so you can learn more about what humanists believe.
Humanists were scholars and writers during the Renaissance period who believed in the value and potential of human beings. They focused on human interests, abilities, and achievements rather than on divine or supernatural factors. Humanists emphasized the importance of classical learning, individualism, and the study of the humanities such as literature, philosophy, and history.

No. A LPN, as part of his/her education, does not learn EKG or rhythm strip interpretation. That said, there is nothing to stop a LPN from learning and studying on their own time. I do not believe it is within their practice scope, however.
