he gave his life for us on the cross
He also gave us a deeper and more spiritual understanding of Gods purpose for the earth in relationship to the coming of Gods kingdom to bring peace to mankind.
The main theme of his message was about the good news of this Kingdom. Millions pray for it to come over and over again but most do not know what they are asking for. Ask most people in most churches that question, and expect a blank look.
Another expression for Kingdom, is Governmental rulership. With the coming of that Kingdom Jesus knew and taught that " your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Most of the more than 40 signs for the coming of that Kingdom are now fulfilled world wide indicating the closeness of that Kingdom rule when "the meek will inherit the earth" after he " brings to ruin those who are ruining the earth." Matthew 5:5 Revelation 11:18.

Jesus first offered himself to his father upon incarnation. The only purpose of Jesus being born was to live in obedience to his father and become the perfect sacrifice.
With these words from Luke 23 - "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit" Luke 23.46. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Yes. The Christian believes that God exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father remained in heaven while Jesus (the Son of God) came to earth as a baby, lived to manhood, died on the Cross for our sins. Jesus talked to God the Father through prayer while He was on earth and God talked to Jesus. Before Jesus came to earth they talked in heaven. A good example is in Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image."
Because he wanted to let his sins teach us how to be good people and he wanted to sit next to his father (God) in heavenANSWER: Jesus, the Son of God loves all persons. He and God the Father want all persons to come to them in salvation. John 3:16, " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." And Jesus, the Son of God did not sin!
The gospels say that Pontius Pilate asked the Jews to choose between Barabbas and Jesus. Since Barabbas means 'Son of the Father', the gospel story portrays the choice as between one Son of the Father (Barabbas) and another Son of the Father (Jesus). By means of a play on words, we learn that the Jews chose the wrong Son of the Father.
