Jesus Christ spoke seven times while hanging on the cross.

Luke 23:33-34 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals-one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Luke 23:42-43 Then he (one of the criminals on the side of Jesus) said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. 43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

He actually said 4 things. He said, "Father, why hast Thou forsaken me?", "It is finished", and he promised that the thief next to Him would see Him in paradise. He also said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".

He did not say those things in that order, of course, as "It is finished" came last after "Father, why has Thou forsaken me?".
