But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall come into the ark, you and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort you shall bring into the ark, to preserve their life; they shall be male and female. Of the fowl after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive. And take all manner of food, and gather it; and it shall be for feed for you and for them.'
And the Lord said unto Noah: 'You and your family, come into the ark; for have I that you are righteous before Me in this generation. Of every clean beast you shall take seven and seven, each with its mate; and of the beasts that are not clean two [and two], each with its mate; of the fowl also, seven and seven, male and female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For in another seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the earth.' And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
