The Puritans believed in strict teachings that caused intervention among others. The first teaching is the idea that wealth is a symbol of Godliness. The second teaching refers to the compact theory of government. This was a compact and agreement with God to abide to live by the scripture and in return God promises to bless them with endeavors. The Right of Rebellion was created afterwards which gave permission to members of the colony to get rid of evil leaders and elect good leaders if the governors fail to abide by this agreement. This idea was later added in the Declaration.
