Genesis 22:11-12. And the angel of the Lord called unto him (to Abraham) out of the heavens, and said: "Abraham, Abraham." And he (Abraham) said: "Here am I." And he (the angel) said: "Lay not your hand upon the lad, nor do any thing to him; for now I know that you are a God-fearing man, seeing as you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
And again later (vereses 15-18):
And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham a second time from the heavens, and said: "By Myself have I sworn, says the Lord, that because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and through your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have hearkened to My voice."
Abraham's daughter is a retelling of the bible story of Arbaham and Isaac. In the bible, Arbraham takes Isaac and is about to sacrifice him because god said to, but is stopped by an angel who tells him he no longer has to sacrifice Isaac because he fears god, then Abraham and Isaac sacrifice a ram instead. In the song though, Abraham is about to sacrifice Isaac and the angel is not stopping, but encouraging him. Instead of Isaac being an only child, he has a nameless sister who was raised to support the sacrificing if her brother ("raised for the slaughter") The daughter stands from where she was hiding and stops Abraham from killing Isaac telling him to sacrifice her instead. In this case she is the ram. She forces him to release isaac or she would kill him with an arrow (" then she raised her bow")
Well, besides Isaac, there was Abraham, his father, and "the angel of the LORD."
God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. However, at the last moment, an angel intervened, and Abraham was provided with a ram caught in a thicket, which he then sacrificed instead. This story is significant in the Abrahamic faiths as a demonstration of faith and obedience.
The faith according to the story of Abraham offering Isaac is that Isaac was the only son to Abraham who was already old.
A ram was sacrificed instead of Isaac in the biblical story of the Binding of Isaac, as a test of Abraham's faith.
In the Bible, the significant event involving the sacrifice of Isaac on Mount Moriah is known as the Binding of Isaac. This story is found in the Book of Genesis, where God tests Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham is willing to obey, but at the last moment, God provides a ram for the sacrifice instead. This event is seen as a demonstration of Abraham's faith and obedience to God.
if you are talking about the story of Abraham and how he was told by God to sacrifice his son Isaac, than instead of his son he sacrificed a lamb because he was going to sacrifice his son for God and so God said that he had proven his faith and that means he loves him, so instead he let Abraham sacrifice a lamb instead!! hope that helped :D
Mount Moriah holds significant symbolic importance in the story of Abraham and his willingness to sacrifice his son because it is the place where Abraham demonstrated his ultimate faith and obedience to God by being willing to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. This act of faith is seen as a test of Abraham's devotion and trust in God, and it ultimately leads to God providing a ram as a substitute sacrifice, sparing Isaac's life. The story is often interpreted as a lesson in faith, obedience, and the belief in God's providence.
The first person to be tied up in the Bible is often considered to be Isaac. In the story of Abraham and Isaac, found in Genesis 22, Abraham binds Isaac as part of the test of faith where he is instructed to sacrifice his son. Isaac, carrying the wood for the burnt offering, is tied before Abraham prepares to carry out the sacrifice, though ultimately, God intervenes, providing a ram instead.

Isaac's name was not changed; he is consistently referred to as Isaac in the biblical narrative. However, his son Jacob had his name changed to Israel after wrestling with an angel, which is a significant event in the biblical story. Isaac remains a key figure as the son of Abraham and the father of Jacob.
The traditional symbol for Isaac is a ram or a lamb, representing sacrifice and obedience. It often refers to the biblical story of the binding of Isaac, where Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his son Isaac as a test of faith.
