The ultimate aim or purpose of a Buddhist is to attain enlightenment. In order to attain that stage one do not attach to anything, even the good things in the universe. To be enlightened mean one is returning to the source of existence or returning to the true nature of things as they really are. There is nothing offesive in the true nature of things. Until we attain that stage of true existence Buddhists can consider 'ignorance' as "offensive". Metta.
