Answer:

An atheist is a person who does not accept the existence of a god, an apostate is thea person who abandons or renounces a religion. Thus an apostate does nor worship a god that he may still assume exists. An atheist does not "not worship" a god as there is nothing there to worship.

That person would be called an atheist.

Atheism is commonly described as the position that there are no deities. Theres a Term used i.e. " Omega " or Omega Point which is a belief in life after death as being only heavenly and pleasant for everyone who dies for atheists , agnostics and everyone regardless of whether they have a religion or not. The term atheism originated from the Greek, meaning "without gods", which was applied with a negative connotation to those thought to reject the gods worshiped by the larger society.

People who do not believe in "god" may fall into one of several categories:

  • Those that have as their position that there are no gods, only a physical world are generally regarded as atheists
  • Those that believe in religions such as Buddhism or Taoism have no god in the sense that the Abrahamic religions relate to term (an omnipotent, creator and judge) are regarded as non-theistic
  • Those that believe in gods other than the Abrahamic religions (Hindus, northern European religions associated with the Norse, ancient Britons etc.) are generally called pagans by Christians Moslems and Jews.
  • Pantheists believe in a diffuse godhood spread among all living and non-living entities.

No, most Christians (Protestants are Christians also) believe in one God in Three Persons. God the Father, God the Son, (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. Each Person is God, which makes up the one true God, but each one has a different "job" or ministry to perform.

Can one sin repeatedly and yet call themselves a Christian and believe in God?

Yes.Anyone, no matter how bad of a person they may be, can call themselves a Christian. Anyone can call themselves anything they want. That doesn't make it true. Also, anyone can believe in Christ and still not be "saved." In the Bible (James 2:19), it says, "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder."As for being a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ, I do not believe that someone who repeatedly and deliberately disobeys the commands of the Bible can truly and honestly call themselves a Christian.

What do you call a person that doesnt believe in god or isn't an atheist?

From what I understand, an agnostic doesn't necessarily believe there is or is not a God. There are probably other names too, but in a general, a theist believes in a God- and that includes a monotheist: belief in ONE God, and a polytheist: belief in many gods, an agnostic doesn't believe nor choose to not believe in a God, and an athiest believes there is no God or gods.
