Believers are primarily about sharing Christ with others. An injunction to keep an open home and to be hospitable to strangers follows suit. God uses angels in all kinds of situations. If you read the story of Lot in Genesis you will see how angels came to Lot's house. You just never know when the Lord will need your services, and angels may well visit. In such cases it seems clear the angels in question have covered the brightness of glory they appear to have in other situations (as in when they appear and people fall on their faces very afraid). God has given angels the ability to appear as we do, so we may not know of their presence.
I had a situation a number of years ago. My car broke down in the very center of a busy intersection during rush hour. My wife and I both got out to try and move the car off the road. Out of the blue come these two young men who kindly helped us get the car and ourselves to a safe place. As soon as the car stopped I looked to thank them and they were gone. No sign of them whatsoever. Given the layout of the intersection, there was really no way they could have disappeared so quickly, unless they had abilities I do not have. To this day we both believe the Lord sent angels to help us out. Thankfully, we were kind and courteous, and hopefully behaved as the Lord would have us behave.
This dream appears to illustrate the Christian text from the Letter to the Hebrews, 13:2, "Forget not to show love unto strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." (American Standard Version.) The dream might be a reminder from the dreamer's subconscious mind (soul) that one might encounter the Sacred at any moment.
== Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. There is also a reference in Judges 13 to Manoah's unsuccessful attempt to entertain an angel.
Have you ever unknowingly entertained angels?
Those that are regarded as people on Earth can in actuality be angels, according to the Bible. Hebrews 13:2 says, "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some have entertained angels unaware." It is generally taken to mean that you should treat and guest stranges well, for some of them may be angels judging your behaviors. These beings would seem like ordinary people, though in fact would not be.
Hebrews 13 verse 2
Yes. Hebrews 13:2 This quote is from the New International version of the Bible, it is a bit easier for most people to understand. "Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it" Here is the original King James version, this is the form of the scripture that is most popular. "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unaware." For god to send down angels 1. angels have to exist and 2. god has to exist, its sensible to be skeptical of a attemp to understand "big questions" from over 2000 years ago when deciding wheather to believe. There is no accepted proof of god but if want to believe its up to you.
Hebrews 1:7 - And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire."[NKJV]
Angels as we know of, as celestial beings, are created by God. They do his bidding, often unseen, and minister to man's needs at times, especially those who will turn to the Lord. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" Hebrews 1:14. Angels are servants and messangers of God. Several are mentioned by name, Gabriel and Michael among them. Some are not given names at all. Hebrews 13:2 (KJV) says, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." This passage is sometimes used to help illustrate the situation that Lot experienced in Genesis 19. Lot recognized the visitors, while most people apparently do not. The only other angel referred to metaphorically in Scripture is actually a pastor of a church, meaning that he is a "messenger." It is stated such: "Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write..." Revelation 2:1. There are no references to "earth angels."
What Billy Graham says about angels is: 1.) They are real. 2.) They are God's messengers. 3.) We can entertain them unawares. Billy Graham is famous for saying "The Bible says ..." So pretty much what Billy Graham had to say and what he believes about Angels: God's Secret Agents, come straight out of the pages of his favorite book, the Bible.
Angels By "Within Temptation"
Yes, if you are talking about heavenly creatures. If you are talking about geometric shapes it is 'angles'.
They are talking to angels on their shoulders.
