The cubit was the system of measurement used in Noah's day and far beyond. It was the length between an average man's elbow and his middle finger - about 17.5 inches (or 44.5 cm) (Deuteronomy 3:11). Noah's ark was to be three hundred cubits long , fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high (Genesis 6:14-16).
