Christians are to obey the laws of the land. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's......." Caesar then represented the government the Jews were under and they were to pay taxes and polls and tolls etc. The same holds true today. We are to pay our taxes etc and obey the government's rules.... unless they interfere with God's laws. So we are to obey the government (up to a point) and we are to obey God, His laws etc. God's law is supreme over all else.
