4: a religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices
--Merriam-Webster's online dictionary
A denominational Christian is simply one who is a member or involved in one of the recognized Christian denominations, such as Roman Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian etc.
This distinguishes them (probably by far the majority) from Christians who are non-denominational, who are thus members of small independent churches or Christians who are not members of a church at all.
I'm a non-denominational Christian.
I am a non-denominational Christian.
No. They are non-denominational and teach straight Christian theology.
I am a non-denominational Christian.
This would simply mean someone other than a Christian. You may be referring to non-denominational Christian which is someone 'unaligned' with the primary Christian denominations of: Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and Evangelical (all).
If a church is non-denominational and does not abide in communion, that's not necessarily a bad thing. However, if it's non denominational, and professes to follow christ, it's a very bad thing...If a non-denominational christian church does not follow the lords command in II Corinthians to partake of communion in remembrance of him.....then it's not christian at all. Being non denominational does NOT necessarily mean it's not christian...it just means it's neither lutheran, methodist, baptist etc. It just means that it follows the teachings of Christ.
