What does it mean to have a calling on your life?

It is based on the beleif that each person is placed on Earth by God to do somethimg. For some people it may be something great, for others it may be a small and simple thing but it is something that only that one person can do.

When one feels strongly drawn to a particular occupation, be it religious or secular, one is said to have 'a calling'. More often than not, when one feels a strong attraction to the service of God or any particular religious group, one is said to have 'a calling'. Some may claim to have heard a 'voice', whilst many others feel a strong internal yearning.
