I mean instead of rushing to its side, make the bottle, prepare for diaper change and then coddle. If the baby is still sad and crying after rocking etc. keep trying to comfort the infant. If growing frustrated take a break. Babies will often cry for extended periods for no reason. Which is why it's best to do things at your own pace.
