It depends on how you spell it in Hebrew:

בשמים = "fragrant substances" (such as perfumes or sweet spices).

בסמים = "with [illegal] drugs"

Note that the first of those two words is a noun; Biblical Hebrew as well as modern; and its first letter is part of the root-word.

The second of the two above words is Modern Hebrew, and its first letter is not part of the root-word; it's a preposition ("with," or "in").
