The word Revelation means to reveal. The book of Revelation was written by John of Patmos (Greel island) and is based on his visions of heaven and hell, and the events that take place in the end days. Many people have the idea that the end days pertains strickly to the late 20th century to present. This is not correct. The end days began in the 1st century with the birth and then ministry of Jesus.

What many people think will be future events as told in Revelation have in fact already happened. Jesus told his disciples that there would be wars and rumors of wars. Pestilence, famine, upheavel in weather patterns, a sharp increase in natural disasters such as hurricanes, volcanos, ect. People would 'fall away' from the word of God (The Bible) to follow their own interests. Families would fall apart, with children being disrespectful to parents, parents disrespecting their children. Economic collapes, false religions.

After all prophecies have been fulfilled then Christ will return to judge every human that has ever lived.
