Sow means plant. When used in church a pastor may say "Sow your seeds", it means paying your tithes/offerings. The reason they use that metaphor is because if you sow your seed on good ground therefore good things will come out of it. For example, if you are attending a evil/wicked church and they are practicing withcraft, you are sowing in that ground eventually you will start to act evil/wicked. Your tree(which is you) will start to grow(act) like the ground you have sowed on. Thats why its important to know god because he will speak to you and let you know that something is not right.
