The rule is every thing is allowed to eat and drink except what is forbidden by Quran or by Prophet Muhammad (peace upon him).

Accordingly, Muslims can drink every thing except alcohol and what is including alcohol (or any intoxicant). They are forbidden also to drink blood or the soup of any forbidden food.

Quran says "Forbidden to you are the flesh of dead animals and blood and the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to any other than Allah, and that which has been killed by strangling or by beating or by falling or by being gored, and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild beast except that which you make lawful by slaughtering (before its death), and that which has been sacrificed to idols....".

(Quran, chapter 5, verse 3-4)

Prophet Mohamed (peace be on him) states also that "forbade the eating of any wild animals with a canine tooth and of any bird with talons." "Wild animals" denotes those which prey on others and devour them by tearing them apart, e.g., the lion, leopard, wolf, and the like; birds with talons such as the hawk, eagle, falcon, etc., do the same.
