this passage is speaking of when David first heard the news of Sauls death. David and all the men with him mourned the loss of saul and his son.
I Samuel 1:20 tells us that when Samuel was born she (Hannah) named him Samuel, "Because I have asked for him from the LORD." (Samuel means "asked" or "heard of God".)
There are two meanings to Samuel in scripture that I have found . 1. Samuel. Name of God. Son of Elkanah and Hannah, born in answer to his mother's prayers. 2. Samson. Of the sun. Son of Manoah, and the twelfth of the "judges" of Israel (Judg. 13:24-16:30). He seems to have been a man notorious for his great physical strength, but weak in intellectual and moral character.
I believe it was Samuel who asked God that he would give him wisdom...

A:1 Samuel 18:10 says that God put an evil spirit on Saul.
Samuel rebuked Saul in 1 Samuel 13 because Saul acted impulsively by offering a burnt sacrifice to God without waiting for Samuel to arrive, violating God's command. This act demonstrated a lack of faith and patience, undermining Samuel's role as God's prophet and priest. As a result, Samuel informed Saul that his kingdom would not endure, and God had chosen another leader to replace him.

in the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 3 we read that God calls out to the little boy Samuel , who was left in the temple by his mother Hannah, as she had promised the lord.. Here we see Samuel running to Eli the priest at night ,thinking that he called. But clearly it was God calling Samuel, andhere Samuel becomes the youngest prophet.
Three characters in 1 Samuel are Samuel, Saul, and David. Samuel was a prophet and judge, Saul was the first king of Israel, and David was chosen by God to succeed Saul as king.
I am not sure if I can answer this question on mu own. Here are a few verse form Al-Qur'an to help you. Surah 1: [1:1] In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [1:2] Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. [1:3] Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment. [1:5] You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help. [1:6] Guide us in the right path: [1:7] the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers. Surah 112: [112:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful [112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD. [112:2] "The Absolute GOD. [112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
