The word 'ark' is an English word.
The relationship is that several English translations of the Torah have translated the two different Hebrew words into the same English word. They have no other connection.
The English passengers of the Ark and the Dove in 1634.
The Aron HaKodesh. (In English, the Holy Ark.)
"Baho de arko" translates to "under the ark" in English. It may refer to being in a sheltered or protected place, similar to being under the protection of an ark like Noah's Ark.
Though in Hebrew they are two different words, in English "ark" refers to both the Ark of the Covenant in Exodus ch.25, and to Noah's ark in Genesis ch.6. The Ark of the Covenant was made of wood which was both inlaid and overlaid with a thin gold layer. It had a rectangular gold cover with two winged Keruvim ("cherubs"). Noah's ark was made of huge Gopher-wood beams fashioned from whole trees lengthwise and was covered inside and outside with pitch (tar).

There were two arks , Noahs ark and the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant was to carry the ten commandments. Today, the ark is a cabinet in synagogues, normally at the front of the sanctuary, where the Torahs are kept.
It depends on how you use the word: If you are talking about the Holy Ark where the torah scrolls are kept in a synagogue: ah-ROHN (ארון) If you are talking about Noah's Ark: teh-VAH (תבה)
