The Holy Ghost baptism is simply being filled with the Spirit of God. It is His Spirit regenerating your spirit, which is dead because of sin. When Adam sinned, his spirit became dead because of sin and sin fell on all of mankind. The Bible say "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." So our spirit needed to be regenerated by God's Spirit. That is why we must be "born again." Which simply means to be born from above. When one receives the Holy Ghost baptism, he or she will speak in tongues as the initial evidence. Mark 16:17 "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues." You will see this in Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:1-6, and Acts 2:1-4.
