A nihilist is someone who would accept Nihilism, which is the concept that everything is nothing, to put it in a single sentence. We are of no real substance, and all we have is essentially nothing. Where most people believe our actions will bring a different reality, a nihilist would see any action as irrelevant since nothing we do matters.

This is my view on it from reading Nietzsche, discussing some Kierkegaard, and a light base of my own thinking on the potential uselessness of reality.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of moral nihilism?

Moral nihilism's strength lies in its challenge to absolute moral frameworks, promoting a more open-minded approach to ethics and encouraging critical examination of moral beliefs. However, its weakness is the potential for moral paralysis or cynicism, as it denies any inherent value in moral claims, which can lead to a lack of guidance in ethical decision-making and a diminished sense of accountability. This can create a societal atmosphere where harmful behaviors may be justified without a moral compass.

How does a nihilist find other nihilists?

AnswerNihilism is the philosophical doctrine that values do not exist but are falsely invented. The most common form of nihilism is existential nihilism, which states that life is without meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value. Moral nihilism says that morality does not exist, and thus there are no moral values to uphold.A true existential nihilist is most to be pitied and could perhaps be found undergoing treatment for depression. Moral nihilists could be found anywhere, from church to jail and anywhere in between; they are no more likely to be atheists than Christians.
