There is no Buddhist language. Buddhist speak whatever their native language is. The language that early Buddhist texts were written in was Sanskrit and Pali. These are ancient Indian languages.

"Buddhist" isn't a language any more than "Episcopalian" is a language. Each Buddhist would have a word in his native language for "Beauty"

Buddhist documents where originally written in Sanskrit (and ancient Indian language) and later Pali ( a more modern Indian language) but Buddhist texts have been translated to most languages. When Buddhist get together they speak in the language of the country that they are in through translators.
