Muslims believe in an almighty creator who created the universe and very living and non-living thing in it. It is believed that humanity come from a single pair of human ancestors who are known as Adam and Eve. We don't believe that human are descended from apes or that any one genus of animals is born of another but that God made them from a single pair of ancestors. Aspects of evolution such as natural selection or adaptation are certainly not rejected as all living creatures including humans do adapt to new environments or pick mates based on certain favourable features or characteristics. There's nothing wrong Islamically with investigating these things.

According to Genesis, it was Adam and Eve. From the standpoint of Evolution, human sexual reproduction is basically the same as that of the other hominids who are our evolutionary siblings, so sexual intercourse actually preceded human beings!
islam doesnt agree with the idea of evolution because allah(god) created humans and animals and plants when he made the universe,he first made adam and eive and then the whole humanity came, but the idea that says that humans was monkeys of fish or whatever is not true in islam, although evolution theory in many sides of it states th similarity in genetics between apes and humans, but thats because apes was human one day but they didnt obey allah thats why allah turned them into apes as a punishment
From a scientific standpoint, the point is to reproduce and pass along your genes. From a philosophical standpoint, this is a personal opinion.
