The collection of such writings are of two types. One is called Ahadih (The sayings of he beloved Prophet SAW). The second is the LIfe History (Seerat) of the holy Prophet (SAW).

Infamous Muslims are those who are known for immoral or evil deeds. Examples of such Muslims include Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.
Muslims do that for Humanitarian goals only as long as others doing for there relief and sometimes Muslims do that for non Muslims relief because Islam asking Muslims to do good deeds and donate for others even Muslims or not.
Teachings of the Prophet Muhammad are held in the highest esteem by Muslims and those who appreciate world traditions of spirituality. He taught by example and storytelling and his actions as recounted in the Hadith (collection of eyewitness accounts of his sayings and deeds) and in the Qur'an, which Muslims believe to be the Word of God transmitted by revelation to the Prophet.

Answer Muslims believe in the 2nd eternal life; as in other God religions. On the Resurrection Day, all people (including Muslims) will be judged by God. If they their good deeds and faith over-weigh their bad deeds, then they will be accepted by God mercy in the Paradise (or Heavens) for eternal life. Otherwise they will be pushed in Hell fire for eternal life.
They are called Sunnah.
