Goals get in your way. Goals are things one clings to, clinging which causes suffering. Since the practice of the eightfold path teaches us to let go of the things which cause us suffering, to stop clinging to fixed ideas like "goals" the answer to this question is really "Mu" -- you have asked a question that is too small for the subject.
Or, half in fun, I could say the goal of the eightfold path is to let go of the goal.
