The group of initiated Sikhs are referred to as the Khalsa. They are warriors in the tenth gurus words. They fight for justice and the betterment of others.
It is celebrated by Sikhs because that was the day when khalsa panth had started. It is really fun to watch and really fun to celebrate. The Sikhs usually have really big parades where they sing their holy prayers.

The festival of Baisakhi was originally set aside to mark the harvest season and the start of the new solar year in the Indian subcontinent. It holds historical significance for Sikhs as it also commemorates the establishment of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.
There were ten Gurus in total. The final Guru Gobind Singh said that the Guruship would be passed to the holy book of the Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib. The community of the Sikhs is also called Guru Panth. God is known as Sat Guru the true Guru.
The Panth (the community) and the Sangat (a collection of Sikh followers) pay for the food.
The 5 Ks date from the creation of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.
