What is the importance of recitation in class?

The importance is to be serious and imagine that you are standing in front if Allah. also dont think of anything but the Quran.(try to speak loudly) also remember to do wadu! or it doesn't count!

By reciting the Qur'an in class, it helps one's recitation as you practice reading out loud and the teacher or mu'allim can help and correct your memorization. In order to learn all the tajweed rules, having a good teacher and good class is essential.

Recitation has a subtle and sublime effect on us. But we fail to understand the importance of the same and keep ignoring it or do it in a very sporadic and mechanical manner.

We also tend to do the recitation in a very whimsical manner - when we are pressed down by problems or when our near and dear ones are sick etc…Such behavior only depicts our fruitive attitude.
