Freemasonry is a fraternity dedicated to the brotherhood of man, Self and Community Improvement, and the upholding of Ideals. Masons do not solicit for membership but greatfully accep those who come forward that are qualified. The qualifications are as follows Being a Freeborn Man of lawfull age who believes in a God and is well recommended. Freemasonry is not a religion is just supports the values of one.
Scientology is a Religion founded by L Ron Hubbard. As I understand(I am not an expert on Scientology). Scientology is a self based religion the focuses on self improvement and the individual molds his own existence in the organization, There is a large empasis on the spirtual being as an actual physical part of the body as opposed to the more symbolic one found in other religions. Scientology teaches to not take everything as belief or on faith alone but to decide for yourself what you believe in.
